Bajaj bike will run without oil!

Bajaj is gearing up to launch its first CNG motorcycle soon. Drivers will not have to worry about fuel consumption when the bike is in the market. In the entry-level commuter bike segment, Bajaj currently sells the Platina and the City Motor.

Of these, the Platina offers the highest mileage, up to 70 kmpl as per ARAI.

The mileage of the upcoming CNG bike is expected to be higher. It might be the highest mileage bike in its category. Bajaj is likely to use the existing 110cc engine in its new CNG bikes, which come in the Platina 110cc and CT 110X. In petrol, this engine produces 8.6 PS of power and 9.81 Nm of torque.

The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The Bajaj CNG bike is powered by a 125cc engine, which is available in the CT125X model.

In fact, CNG gives less power than petrol. A bigger engine (125 cc) is being considered for performance under such circumstances.

Regardless of the engine offered, some changes are possible. Bi-Fuel Setup – Bajaj's upcoming CNG bike is expected to have a bi-fuel setup.

A switch can be provided for this, with the help of which CNG can be switched from petrol and petrol to CNG.

The CNG tank will be under the seat and the petrol tank will be where it can be found. The motorcycle may be affordable to run, but according to media reports, it may cost more than the current Platina 110cc.
