2 Minute Exercise That Relieves Back Pain

A quick exercise that can help relieve back pain is the Cat-Cow stretch from yoga. Here's how to do it:

  1. Start on your hands and knees, with your wrists directly under your shoulders and your knees directly under your hips. Your spine should be in a neutral position.
  2. Inhale as you arch your back, dropping your belly towards the floor and lifting your head and tailbone towards the ceiling. This is the Cow pose.
  3. Exhale as you round your spine, tucking your chin to your chest and drawing your belly button towards your spine. This is the Cat pose.
  4. Continue flowing between Cat and Cow, moving with your breath for about 1-2 minutes.

This exercise helps to gently stretch and mobilize the spine, relieving tension and promoting flexibility. Remember to move slowly and mindfully, and stop if you feel any pain. If your back pain persists or worsens, it's essential to consult a healthcare professional.
